Mozilla and Opera Updates

Opera and Mozilla offer updates to their respective browsers this week.

Almost directly related to last week’s IE bit, both Opera and Mozilla offer updates to their respective browsers this week. Opera 7.21, closely following 7.20, fixes a host of display, CSS and other bugs. Mozilla offers a landmark 1.5 release, updates Firebird to 0.70 and even brings their standalone e-mail client Thunderbird up to date with a 0.30 release.

The Mozilla 1.5 release is especially large, with considerable improvements in Composer. Development continues on the 1.6 release canidate, although there are rumors the Mozilla suite will eventually be replaced when Firebird and Thunderbird reach acceptable maturity. (On the flipside, we’re still waiting for the Mac OSX version of Opera 7.) More discussion can be found in the Opera Forums and Mozillazine.
